1871 The San Silvestro winery, founded by Giovanni Sartirano, is located in the municipality of Novello, in the Barolo region. Today, the fourth-generation winemakers Paolo Sartirano and Guido Sartirano wisely, with respect for deep traditions, the research accumulated by their ancestors, purposefully represent the activities of the winery. The grapes are picked exclusively by hand. This wine is made from grapes in the upper hills of Barbera d’Asti, Alessandria. After malolactic fermentation, maceration with skins, wine for 5 months. with sediment for maturing in stainless steel drums. Fresh, mineral, influential, fragrant, spicy, balanced, elegant, refreshing acid, delicate body wine with a long-lasting aftertaste. It has aromatic scents of acacia, forest flowers, citrus, ripe apples. The extremely rare Nas-Cëtta grape variety can be found exclusively in the village of Novello.
