Description
1871 Founded by Giovanni Sartirano, San Silvestro Winery is located in the municipality of Novello, in the Barolo region. Today, the fourth-generation winemakers Paolo Sartirano and Guido Sartirano wisely, with respect for deep traditions, the research accumulated by their ancestors, purposefully represent the activities of the winery. The grapes are picked exclusively by hand. This wine is made from grapes in the upper hills of Barbera d’Asti, Alessandria. After malolactic fermentation, maceration with skins, wine with lees for maturing in stainless steel barrels. Excellent, light, especially fragrant, expressive, mineral, refreshing acid and light body wine with a long-lasting aftertaste. It is characterized by the scents of wildflowers, ripe apples and citrus fruits. Since 1800. The favorite grape variety is grown in the Langhe, and the Roero hills are the most revealing. Favorita is synonymous with the slightly better known Vermentino grape, which is very common in Provence, Languedoc-Roussillon, as well as Sardinia and other regions.
