Paladin Casa Lupo Ripasso Della Valpolicella DOCG

22.00

The Casa Paladin Group Winery was founded in 1962. Motta di Livenza near Treviso. The vineyards are topographically located in the province of Venice in the areas of Annone Veneto, Lison-Pramaggiore. Soil – calcareous, clayey. The vineyards are located 450 m. above sea level. For the production of this wine, Valpolicella wine and Amarone, previously fermented wine skins and yeast residues, are used. After the first maceration with the skins, the regular Valpolicella must is macerated for the second time together with the aforementioned Amarone grape marc and left to rest for about 15 to 20 days. The Ripasso blend then matures for 18 months in large Slovenian oak barrels to achieve optimal maturity. This method of wine production leaves traces of additional richness and complexity, which is why Ripasso is often called the small Amarone. Full, refined, rich, fragrant, spicy, luscious velvety tannins, balanced body with a long-lasting aftertaste. It is characterized by the scents of black currants, blackberries, plums, spices, dried flowers, herbs, chocolate, smoke, roasted almonds, forest floor.
